Eligibility
Applicant does not have to be incarcerated to qualify.
If coming from an IDOC facility, applicant must be DOR free and working in the facility.
Employment/Work Readiness
Must be employed, or
Actively seeking employment with verifiable effort.
Recovery Support
Must attend recovery support meetings or programs as directed.
Compliance
Must provide clean urinalysis (UA) tests as required.
Must follow all conditions set forth by parole, probation, or program requirements (PEPs).
Must comply with all house rules and program guidelines.
Ongoing Participation
Continued eligibility is dependent on maintaining compliance with the above requirements.
To provide fully funded housing at Saenz House for qualified individuals during the 4th quarter of 2025.
The grant covers payment in full for housing.
2. Number of Grants Available
A total of six (6) housing grants will be awarded.
3. Service Area
This grant is available only to individuals residing in or returning to Ada County or Canyon County, Idaho.
4. Nomination Process
Applicants must be nominated by an outside professional, such as:
Case Manager
Parole Officer (PO)
Other recognized support personnel
5. Eligibility Requirements

If coming from an IDOC facility:
Must be DOR free and working in the facility.
Cannot have more than $1,000 on their inmate account (“books”) within a one-year period.

Must be employed, or actively seeking employment with verifiable effort.
Recovery Support:
Must attend recovery support meetings or programs as directed.
Clean UAs:
Must provide clean urinalysis (UA) tests as required.
Compliance:

Must comply with all house rules and program guidelines.
7. Ongoing Participation
Grant recipients must maintain full compliance with all eligibility and participation requirements in order to retain housing for the full grant period.
